Install Exchange Mailbox servers using the Setup wizard

Earlier you install an Exchange Server 2022 or Exchange Server 2022 Mailbox server, verify the following prerequisites:

  • Verify the network, computer hardware, operating system, and software requirements at: Exchange Server system requirements and Exchange Server prerequisites.

  • The target server must be a member of an Active Directory domain.

  • The business relationship that you use to install Exchange requires the following permissions*:

    • Enterprise Admins grouping membership: Required if this is the first Exchange server in the organization.

    • Schema Admins group membership: Required if y'all haven't previously extended the Active Directory schema or prepared Active Directory for Exchange 2022 or Commutation 2022.

    • Exchange Organization Management role group membership: Required if yous've already prepared the Active Directory domain that volition comprise the Substitution server, or if other Exchange servers already be in the organization.

Caution

Install the Exchange Mailbox server role
